I lost my right arm on the way home
Written as part of the University of Iowa's International Writing Program, MOOC Storied Women, 2016
Using the following prompt, taken from Octavia E. Butler’s book Kindred: “I lost an arm on my last trip home. My left arm.” It was written during one of Sandra Agard's writing classes at Canada Water Library, then I reworked it for a MOOC with the University of Iowa’s International Writing Program. Used with permission from Butler’s estate.
